“The only thing better than singing is more singing!”

~ Ella Fitzgerald

The Novae Choir is an academically and performance focused choral program for students in 3rd through 8th grade. The program includes instruction in three areas intended to strengthen students’ talents as musicians: vocal technique, musicianship, and repertoire. Music will be selected from varied genres including classical, folk, musical theater, and pop. We emphasize the importance of building the fundamentals of the voice in a fun, community centered environment.

Students will develop confidence in introductory musicianship concepts, such as identifying and executing rhythms, melodic pitches, harmony, and sight-reading.

  • Repertoire

Students will perform a variety of repertoire that will put musical concepts to real, stylistic applications, and that will enrich their social and cultural fluency. These will include classical, folk, pop, and musical theater.
